A further update on our son John. An MRI last Friday revealed that he has an infection in his spine, on the disc between the 4th and 5th vertebrae. They immediately started him with antibiotics through IV. He's still on the IV, and also in isolation, and we're taking turns staying with him to make sure that he's never alone. He's been a real little trouper. We're really looking forward to taking him home - perhaps at the end of this week or early next week. In the meantime, the family is fighting off a cold and a stomach bug that we picked during our three day ordeal in the emergency room. Needless to say, we can't wait to put this whole experience behind us. Thank you to all who have e-mailed kind words of support.
